Now a classic returns from the archives that was still co-developed by Adi Dassler himself. The legendary Marathon TR was adidas' first trail running shoe in 1979 and one of the last projects in Dassler's career. As Marathon Tech, the former adidas Racer is now starting a second career as a lifestyle sneaker.
With the Marathon Tech sneaker, adidas interprets its trail running classic in a new, modern way. Instead of the tried-and-true EVA midsole of the original, the new Lifestyle Runner features a responsive Boost midsole for a comfortable and dynamic running experience. The suede and mesh upper offers breathable comfort and stays largely true to the Marathon TR's design. The characteristic mesh pattern ("Dellinger Web") on the midsole has also remained virtually unchanged. Three contrasting stripes on the sides and a retro Trefoil logo on the tongue complete the look of the Marathon Tech.
